Expanding Gratitude & Giving Thanks to Unlikely Recipients

Today, I’m sending gratitude to some unlikely audiences.

First, the people I DIDN’T keep in touch with.

You know the great people you work with, but for whatever reason don’t keep in contact with? What’s been amazing is how many of you reached out this past year when I was finding my own way, and offered to connect again, work together – or just tell me you like my posts.

Second, the potential clients who DIDN’T give me their business.

Every time I speak with a potential client, I learn something: about them, what they need, what I could offer. Even when you decided to take another path, it was always a great interaction. And, sometimes, in retrospect, it wasn’t the right time for us to work together – yet.

Third, myself for being satisfied with ONLY two examples here.

People who’ve worked with me know I like everything in threes – three reasons, three bullet points, and so on. I could only think of two for this post. Then, I realized that my own rule of three is completely arbitrary and I can do whatever I want. Maybe that’s a theme for 2023?

Who is your unlikely recipient of gratitude, and what did you learn from them?
