I finished writing my post on the water today.
I could’ve stayed home at the computer and hashed it out. But instead I jumped in a boat and rowed around the tidal channels on the bay.
There was glassy water, sky, seals and three pelicans who reminded me of the mythical Fates.
My mind cleared and the words came.
Productivity, especially thinking and knowledge work, just isn’t linear. A change of scene is sometimes better than a slog.
